Within the context of linking sustainable development projects and external environmental factors, there cannot be a sustainable development project in a community without a positive role played by the host community of such sustainable project(s). From a philosophical stance corresponding to a positivism paradigm and utilized deductive reasoning, it is found that early involvement of the host community in a project, will significantly affect (positively) the overall delivery of such sustainable development projects.
